We share our planet with more than six billion other individuals. Almost everyone behaves in a considerate manner, mindful of the rest of the planet in their day-to-day activities and generally operating in harmony. Over the centuries we have come together to build great cities and monuments. Our minds together have overcome previously insurmountable problems; we built boats to cross the oceans, roads to unite with our neighbours, overcame disease, and harnessed electricity. We are the blood that courses through the veins of science and culture. Our society and all of its products are testament to our cooperation and understanding.. the melding of our cultures, languages and minds.

Occasionally someone will fight the status quo. The world-view of the majority is confronted and challenged, and everyone is better off for it; women fought for the right to vote, and minorities fought for equality. Through this long and difficult process we become stronger as a people.

Enter now, the dumbass. A dumbass is a person who behaves in a way that defies rational thinking and will often stubbornly continue their behavior when confronted. A dumbass provides no value to society directly, yet we all know at least one and have all suffered due to their actions. The dumbass mixes about as well with society as oil does with water, or a dick with a zipper. If society is a pair of pants then the dumbass is the one wearing them pissing drunkenly into the wind. The idea of the dumbass transcends all language and cultural barriers -- an idea that is as old as the mind itself. As long as their has been capacity for thought there has been capcity for the LACK of thought.

This site is our attempt at returning some value from the valueless, and returning a little something to society for all those who have been affected by the actions of the dumbass. We might not be able to get rid of them (yet) but we can laugh at their exploits, "and its all done in the best possible taste". That's better than nothing, right?
