On November 13th 2010 we posted a Daily Dumbass entry about some silly looking shithead named Joshua Simon Ashby who posted naked photographs of his (ex-)girlfriend to Facebook. He then changed the password on her account so his vandalism could not be easily remedied. Fortunately for the human race he was incarcerated for 4 months for his indiscretions.

Before being incarcerated Mr. Ashby managed to rack up a fairly broad range of offenses, some of which include:

• Threatening to kill.
• Willful damage.
• Theft of the woman's clothes.
• Assault.
• Being a gigantic, stupid-looking douche-bag.

We at DUMBASS! felt this story was covered thoroughly enough when it first hit the spotlight in November, but this really isn't about the story that made the news. This is a story about statistics, analytics, and the internet.

I regularly check the statistics of all the websites I administer to improve their performance and just generally polish them. Upon loading up a list of the most popular search terms for DUMBASS! I noticed a few interesting entries. These entries represent actual terms people have searched online and then clicked through to this website when it appeared in the search results:

• joshua ashby girlfriend's name.
• joshua ashby ex girlfriend.

Notice a trend? That's right - some filthy pricks out there are actually looking for the photographs posted to Facebook and the contact details of Mr. Ashby's ex-girlfriend.

I, of course, am not one to disappoint my fans. I could not find the photographs of Mr. Ashby's ex-girlfriend, but I do have something you might be interested in; photographs of his NEW girlfriend.
